The title of the song was "Girls Rule, Boys Drool" and was nothing more than a series of putdowns of children who are guilty of nothing more than being male. The song was hateful and I'm sure that, had the genders been reversed, no one would have considered even having it in the studio much less playing it. Sir, you may well have a son, younger brother, or other male relative who listens to this show. Just consider how he would feel after hearing an "official" media outlet playing a song describing him in such derogatory terms. I would suggest, an on-air apology to all the boy listeners, by the show's announcer, next week would be very appropriate. I will monitor the show as time permits from now on. If such garbage is played again, I will make a formal complaint to the Emerson College administration and to the Federal Communications Commission. Remember, boys buy a hell of a lot of Sony products. Sony would probably hate considering the possibility some boys (or a percentage thereof) might switch to i.e. Nintendo because of a song called "Girls Rule" or the inferences said song attempts to illuminate.
