Parent's Rights Advocate Jailed ANCPR Calls For Immediate Release of Purple Heart
House Founder On Friday, October 22, 1998, noted parent's rights advocate, Christopher
Robin, was sentenced to a 30 day jail term by Los Angeles County Municipal Court Judge
Ronald Schoenberg. The judge, and Mr. Robin's court appointed Public Defender both had
told him to sell his house in order to pay his
child support arrears which amount to
$9000.00. The house in question is the Purple Heart House in Hollywood which has become
well known to parents and father's rights groups internationally. Robin, who is reportedly
only a part owner of the house, refused, and was subsequently sentenced to jail

located at 2297 Holly Drive in Hollywood, California is a local landmark. The two story

Hello,
Christopher Robin has been released from jail. I still don't know the exact reason,
but I want to thank all of those who wrote letters to Judge Schoenberg concerning the
incarceration of the founder of the Purple Heart House. He is still recovering from
the ordeal, and will soon be communicating with us as to more particulars of the

UPDATE ON CHRISTOPHER ROBIN CASE!
Back in November I promised an update on the
Christopher Robin case. (See the Newsletter Archive for relevant letters at http://www.egroups.com/list/ancpr-l/
). Shortly after calling for members of this list to send letters, Mr. Robin was
released from jail without explanation. Then, in his subsequent hearing at which he
fully expected to be re-incarcerated, the judge entered the court room with a huge stack
of letters that he had received. The judge and the D.A. were stunned by the
response. Over 250 letters letting them know in no uncertain terms that their treatment of
Mr. Robin was offensive to common decency. The judge was later disqualified from the
case....

Rights Activist Jailed
One of the arguments that
non-custodial parent's rights groups make is that the income of the custodial parent - and
the new spouse must be taken into consideration, and should be used to reduce the
child
support obligation that the non-custodial parent should pay. The following article
tells about a deadbeat dad who is fighting for these so called rights - and not paying his
child support - primarily because his ex-wife has plenty of money.
What it
comes down to is that he does not want to make any sacrifices for his kids at all - and

with her mother, working at a high paying job at Universal Studios, driving a new Lexus,
and has recently had a facelift. In contrast, Christopher Robin is a voice coach with a
very unstable income. He has also been denied any contact with his son for over two years.
Christopher Robin Sr.'s son is his only
child, and the $9,000 he owed in

arrears for a child to whom he was for ten years the stay-at-home dad
can hardly be looked at as a sacrifice for a child to whom he is now
denied any access by a mother-daughter team whose assets were then in

Update 2004 11 19:
Another six years have gone by since then, and in all that time
Christopher Robin saw his son not even once. His son is now old
enough to make up his mind and go and see the father that cared for him,
cooked for him, fed him, taught him almost everything he learned during
the first ten years of his life, who even changed his diapers.
However, it is obvious that Christopher Robin Junior has been a captive
audience since his mother absconded with him. It appears that
nothing could be farther from his mind than to go and see his loving
dad. Out of sight, out of mind — not so for those left behind.
