February 25, 2000 the Telegraph carried a story that
describes the fate and experiences of children fathered by German soldiers in Norway
during World War II.
Now, many decades and two generations later, some of those children are launching a
class-action suit against the Norwegian Government in an attempt to obtain compensation.Do the children that Norwegian women acquired from
German soldiers have a legitimate claim for damages inflicted on them?
The children left behind by German soldiers aren't the only children ever left behind.
Elsewhere and elsewhen in the world children were acquired under similar circumstances
— throughout human history and evolution.
In 1961-62 I worked in Korea. I had never heard of any American soldier raping a Korean
woman, although without any doubt a rape of a Korean woman must have been alleged at least
once. No, the only obvious evidence of the desirability, extent and existence of sexual
relations between the mostly American UN soldiers (under a Russian UN Commander-in-Chief)
and Korean women was that the American soldiers were given
condoms before they went on
leave, and that Korean women were lining up along the streets outside the camp gates when
the soldiers were coming out on leave.
One would imagine that most American soldiers don't frequent prostitutes, but some do.
Most Korean women are not prostitutes, but some are. Most Korean woman — prostitutes
or not — who had sex with American soldiers didn't become pregnant, but some did. The
evidence after a few years of the presence of American soldiers was quite obvious in
Seoul, a city of about 2.5 million people at the time I worked there. The American
soldiers had been doing their best to leave behind the evidence in the form of deposits
that Korean women obviously much desired, because so many of them had given birth to the
consequences. The evidence was quite obvious, especially if the men who had fathered
those children had been black.
The Korean women were no less or no more chaste than the French, Norwegian, Polish, and
Russian women under German occupation or the German women under French, English, Russian
and American occupation, in fact, no more or no less chaste than any women at any time and
anywhere with whom soldiers ever mingled under any kind of social circumstances.
That is human nature. Evidence exists that shows that kind of mingling is far more
common than many people think. Human nature was the cause of massive and steady migration
throughout the world. Not all of that migration happened through immigration by whole and
ready-made families. Much of it was during all of human existence in the form of
fraternization between military forces that occupied or moved through localities anywhere
and everywhere humans resided and where men and women met.
If the soldiers involved in the fraternization traveled long distances, the children
that they fathered were easily recognizable. In Korea, Indochina, Vietnam, Germany, Italy,
England and France, for instance, the consequences of the fraternization between
Afro-American soldiers and local women are now a prominent and logically obvious part of
the population. If the children had been fathered by Whites, then the evidence was a
little less obvious but still present.

Soldiers and Girls
DNA testing has not yet been employed to the fullest to determine the extent and
history of genetic diversification and migration. Without any doubt the migration
happened, and without any doubt, pieces of the general picture are emerging, now that the
human genome project is completed or is said to have been completed. Soon we'll know for
sure why there are so many blond and blue-eyed Italians who look as German as the most
Germanic-looking German does. Their genealogical roots go back to the Vandals, the
Visigoths. There are a lot of black-haired Germans whose genealogical roots, I'm sure, go
back to the time of the Roman Empire. The Romans didn't just leave their culture, their
factories, their roads, their fortified walls, their buildings and stadiums. They also
left their genes wherever they went, and so did Attila and his hordes. The latter, so it
is said, raped all the women and killed all the men wherever they went. Did they, really?
Until this day it can be observed that some children born in an area around Berlin in
Germany wear the blue Mongoloid spot at birth at the bases of their spines. Attila and his
army had traveled through there, although his soldiers didn't rape the women and kill the
men in that part of Germany. History has it that the soldiers under the command of one of
his generals went AWOL after they had suffered a defeat in another part of Northern
Germany and were on retreat. They hid in the woods and were eventually taken in and
assimilated by the local population in that area where we now have Berlin. Obviously they
were well-liked; therefore today's blue spots at the base of the spine of some babies born
around Berlin and elsewhere.
I suppose that any children who ever resulted from such military "conquests"
felt discriminated against and claimed that any treatment they received and didn't like
constituted maltreatment — discrimination of a massive sort directed at them. Some of
these children are probably right. Were all of them being maltreated and discriminated
against? Canadian Natives make that very claim with respect to having been forced into
attending residential schools that their parents wanted them to go to. The parents had
wished that their children would learn the white man's ways and language. The story goes
that the Native children were then promptly "abused" (in reality no more than
any white man's children were who went to school anywhere in the world).
Some of the abuse claims may well be true. I remember receiving a good caning for
something I didn't do. So what? I didn't receive a caning for a lot of other things that
definitely weren't that good and should have caused one. On the balance of things I didn't
just get even, I came out ahead, but if I wanted to persecute the teacher who gave me that
undeserved caning, I could do it. The teacher doesn't live anymore, but the government
that employed him still does, and I can still produce eye-witnesses of the
"abuse" I received. For good measure I could add as additional evidence a couple
more canings (that I *did* deserve, but why mention that, it's counterproductive).
I used to have that teacher's picture (the picture got lost along with all of my other
personal possessions — including my underwear — when me first wife walked out of
our marriage). The teacher's oldest son was one of my five best friends. We went to school
together and we had at that time 45 boys in our class. His dad had just returned from a
prison-of-war camp about two years after the war was over. He was one of the first male
teachers in our neighbourhood who had returned after the war. He was one of the few men
who did come back, one of the very few men who were still in one piece.
If I would have had that caning happen to me in Norway and I would have been the
illegitimate child of an unwed Norwegian mother, I could probably sue the Norwegian
government now for compensation. Whether I would do that is another question and depends
on the size of the offer I can't refuse. We can find instances of abuse everywhere we look
for them, but most people don't look, only those do who find it profitable to be victims.
What the heck, if it works wonders for Canadian Natives, why not for anyone else who wants
to be a victim? The "government" will pay, the "government" will pay
— and in the meantime our taxes are inexorably increasing to ever new and ever higher
levels as more and more "victims" follow the rush and put in their claims.
There's gold in them-thar claims of victimhood.
If they tried really hard, and if they went back far enough, and if they would find a
lawyer smart enough and sufficiently savvy, I know that the German descendants of Attila
the Hun's hordes could today put in a claim for back
child support and other damages that
would bankrupt the current Chinese government. Moreover, if we were to assume only a
reasonable average inflation rate for the damages caused by Attila the Hun, the total
amount of the claim that the descendants of his victims could put in today would exceed
the value of all of the money supply in the whole world, by many times that amount. Why
not?! Go for it! The "government" will pay.
Where and when will somebody put his foot down and draw the line? Is the limit only set
by the imagination of lawyers and that of the victims they fabricate continuously? It
doesn't matter, the "government" will pay.
There's gold in victimhood, so, go and dig for it.

THE Norwegian government is facing a series of highly embarrassing lawsuits following
shocking allegations that it connived after the war in the maltreatment of thousands of
children fathered by German troops during the Nazi occupation.
The plight of the estimated 12,000 children born to Norwegian women but fathered by
Germans under the Nazis' infamous lebensborn racial purity programme is to be brought
before the Norwegian courts later this year after more than 50 years of official lack of
interest in the subject.
In the run-up to the court cases, many lebensborn victims have spoken out about the
savage treatment meted out to them by the Norwegian government and by ordinary citizens
during the postwar years for the crime of being Tyskerbarna or "German
bastards". Many were locked away in orphanages or mental asylums for years - where
they were subjected to sexual abuse - or had the "Germanness" beaten out of them
by their Norwegian foster parents.
An initial 150 cases researched by the lawyer Randi Hagen Spydevold will form the basis
of legal claims by lebensborn children for compensation from the Norwegian government.
However, the Oslo-based lawyer says that since she began drawing attention to their
plight, hundreds of other cases have been brought to her notice.
Mrs Spydevold told the Telegraph last week: "My clients' lives have been wrecked
by a combination of official stigma and individual brutality. All we learned in school was
how bravely the Norwegian resistance fought against the Nazis. I first heard about the
plight of lebensborn victims a year ago and I was outraged."
Norway capitulated to the Germans on April 10, 1940. The Norwegian government
subsequently fled into exile in Britain leaving the Nazi sympathiser and nationalist
leader Vidkun Quisling heading a puppet regime.
Most of the victims were products of the Nazi SS leader Heinrich Himmler's lebensborn
or "fountain of life" policy, which actively promoted sexual relations between
German troops and women classed as true Aryans - such as the Norwegians. The children
conceived were taken from their mothers to be raised as "racially pure" citizens
for the Third Reich.
Mrs Spydevold said she also had evidence of human rights abuses which went far beyond
brutality. They involved four lebensborn children who died allegedly after being used in
the 1950s and 1960s by the Norwegian defence ministry and the CIA to test the effects of
the hallucinogenic drug, LSD.
Karl-Otto Zinken, 60, was one of the victims. Born to a German soldier and a Norwegian
mother, he was placed in a lebensborn home in the Norwegian port city of Bergen after his
birth in 1941. After the war the Norwegian authorities placed him in a mental institution
where he was beaten and tortured and subsequently sexually abused by two doctors. Mr Zinken said: "We were regarded as the rubbish that the Germans left behind. The
Norwegian authorities simply shut their eyes and let it happen."
Another of the lebensborn children was Tove Laila. She was taken at the age of one by
the SS to her German grandparents in the east German city of Eberswalde in 1942 after her
father was killed in action. Mrs Laila, now aged 59, remembers: "It was the happiest
period in my life."
In 1947, under an agreement reached by the Allies and the Norwegian government, Mrs Laila was returned to her Norwegian mother where she was an unwelcome guest. Aged only six
and speaking no Norwegian, she was beaten daily by her stepfather whenever she uttered a
word of German. He later regularly sexually abused her.
Mrs Spydevold said: "No attempt was made by the Norwegian authorities to check
what kind of family Mrs Laila was being sent to. She suffered years of abuse because
nobody was interested in her well-being."
An estimated 50,000 Norwegian women are thought to have had affairs with Germans during
the occupation. They were branded as Tyskerhoren or "German whores" by much of
the population during and after the war.
Branded as collaborators, the women were publicly ostracised and subjected to
humiliating punishments, such as having their heads shaved after the defeat of Germany. Tor Brandacher, of the Association of Lebensborn War Children, said: "We needed
somebody to hate after 1945 and women were ideal targets." Documents collected by Mr Brandacher suggest that it was Norwegian policy after the war to portray the women and
their children as mentally deficient.
To date, the Norwegian government has shown little interest in lebensborn victims. It
has argued that their cases are "spent" because the injustices occurred more
than 30 years ago. Norway's Social Democrat health minister, Tor Toenne, said: "They
had an especially difficult childhood, but the misdeeds against these children were
lapses. It is difficult to reconstruct what happened to them after so many years."
The survivors are adamant, however, that the government should address one of the most
shameful chapters in Norway's history. Gerd Fleischer, a 58-year-old Oslo charity
organiser and the daughter of a German soldier and a Norwegian woman, said: "The
terminology used to describe us was as bad as the Nazis in its contempt for mankind. I
grew up as a second-class person in hell. As a civilised nation, Norway must finally
apologise and bring all the facts to light."
