Just on 1999, December, a book has been written.
Its title is "To be fathers in the third-Millenium." (In Spanish, : ' Ser Padres en el tercer Milenio ').
It has been written by Jorge Luis Ferrari, a father.
Jorge Luis Ferrari was born in 1955 in Argentina, began to study sociology but had to leave Argentina in about 1976, due to the military system there in those days.
(It is curious, there are people that at one stage of their life suffer from
the power of an ideology, and that after many years suffer again under another
the power of an opposite ideology ).
The author went to France and obtained a degree in Education Sciences at the Toulouse-University, and a masters degree at the University of Bordeaux.
He has worked at university-, and in political and social levels.
He is a father of three children.
His book is written in Spanish, but I expect it should be translated to English.
The index to the book is really interesting. You can access it and the author at
http://padres.ifrance.com/padres/.
The book is dense but touches the key points: how the 'mother' psychologically gets power; how children, alone with a women, begin to think the father must be bad, because children try to agree with their mother, etc..
Is a long read and very interesting.
I know, it is Spanish, and you all are English-spoken, but I think that it is important that you know about this book, not only for Spanish-speaking friends you may have but to have them translate it for you.
Have a good day, friends.
